As far as "jammy" goes, give me the Let it Grow from Boston 6/28/74 (DP 12). It serves as the gateway to some monster improv.

Tanzania? Really? Well, I bet our download speed is slower! Third slowest in the world. Beat that, O spoiled people of Tanzania! :-)

I'm partial to 12/18/73, but there's an awful lot of great stuff to choose from; there were a bunch of fine recs on this recent thread:

Among later LiGs, I really like 5/16/81.

current favorite - not the jazziest, but a very fleshed out, melodic and creative version:

the others mentioned are excellent as well

I personally think 12/18/73 is the jazziest...

http://www.archive.org/details/gd1973-12-18.sbd.miller.97511.sbeok.flac16

7/19/74 is also a superb rendition...

There are so many great performances of WRS during 73/74 that you almost can't pick a bad one. 9/11/73 is a noteworthy jazz infused rendition that includes Joe Ellis on trumpet and Martin Fierro on saxophone. I'm not a big fan of this tour but this one works...

No mention of 6/18/74? That kindof surprises me. Though my favorite of the year is also 7/19/74.

The one from Philly 74 is also noteworthy for the space jam, though not as high on the list as many others.

And much like 7/19/74, it's pretty hard to beat what comes out of 6/28/74.

Even though it's a show I haven't listened to in years, I think 11/30/73 deserves a mention for it's transition into the odd Dark Star jam.

lastly, I like a lot of the horn-ed out versions from September 73. 9/15/73, to me, is probably their best take on it since debuting it the week before. Granted it's only like the 5th performance, but it's probably my favorite of the tour.
